Technology Vision Seminar

C3 Group recently held two free “Technology Vision 2011 & Beyond” seminars at Pacific Bay Resort, one for organisations in the Public Sector, and the second event for our existing Managed Services clients. We also used the second event to unveil our new company name, C3 Group. Our company was previously known as Coffs Coast Computers.

At both seminars, we revealed the C3 Group vision for the future of technology in 2011 and beyond. Brad Clarke from Microsoft was our keynote speaker, and gave a presentation on Cloud Computing, Microsoft’s vision for the Cloud and some challenges that it presents. Included in his presentation were live demonstrations of Cloud Computing in action. An example of this was the exiting new Unified Communications (UC) product Lync, which is one of the most exciting new products for business that we have seen in a long time.

Other speakers included Jorge Ferreira and Clare Alexander from ASI Solutions who are C3 Group’s primary supplier of on-premise equipment such as servers & workstations. Included in ASI’s presentation was a live demonstration of their Promethean Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) with extreme short throw projector, which allows for amazing collaboration in classrooms, training rooms & boardrooms. Chris Rowthorne from Colourworks Imaging Solutions also presented, and discussed the benefits of the Managed Print Services (MPS) model which is delivering cost savings and quality print solutions to organisations on the Coffs Coast and beyond.

With the shift towards IT services being offered from the Cloud, we ensure that our clients get the best overall solution for their organisation. We do this by coming up with the best mix of on-premise and Cloud-based solutions to suit each individual organisation.
